So, what defines quality meat? Today, we’ll talk a bit about that.

First and foremost, the color of the meat is the main indicator of its freshness and quality. Fresh meat should be light pink and have a natural shine. Also, after cooking, the meat should be easy to cut and chew.
If the surface of the meat you’ve bought is sticky or has an unusual color, it’s a clear sign that its freshness and quality are questionable.

Where can you find high-quality meat?

Because the meat sold at Araz comes from local farms within our homeland. Large livestock with a live weight of up to 250 kg are slaughtered according to halal standards, and then inspected by veterinarians and the Azerbaijan Food Safety Agency (AQTA). After inspection and certification, the meat is sent to our cold storage facility without breaking the cold chain.

There, our quality control specialists check the weight and stamps of the meat before it's distributed to our stores once again, ensuring the cold chain remains unbroken.
