The first “Turn Waste into Gifts” environmental festival of the year has been held, organized by the “Araz” supermarket chain in cooperation with the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources. Launched in 2024 and attracting strong public participation, the event continues to gain increasing interest each year.
The festival, supported by the Ministry, the Yasamal District Executive Authority, and the “Araz” supermarket chain, took place at Azersu Park located in the Yasamal district. Children, youth, families, and representatives of the older generation actively participated in the event.
As part of the festival, participants handed over a total of 6,968 liters of plastic bottles, 1,038 liters of glass waste, and 1,776 used batteries, receiving Araz eco-bags, TAC and Bloom products, as well as various gifts in return.
During the festival, participants were provided with educational information on the importance of waste recycling, environmental protection, and efficient use of resources. Interactive activities and various environmental initiatives added a special dynamic to the event and were met with great enthusiasm, especially by children.
