As part of its “Protecting Nature Is in My Hands” environmental initiative, Araz Supermarkets has organized another “On the Banks of the Araz” cleanup campaign.
Dedicated to the company's 15th anniversary, the campaign brought together Araz employees, who once again cleaned a section of the Araz River shoreline in the Saatli district. Nearly 300 kilograms of waste were collected during the initiative and transported by specialized vehicles to the Saatli municipal waste landfill for proper disposal.
The campaign was carried out with the support of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Saatli District Executive Authority.
As part of its “Protecting Nature Is in My Hands” initiative, Araz Supermarkets continues to implement a wide range of environmental projects aimed at protecting ecosystems and preserving the environment. In previous years, the “On the Banks of the Araz” cleanup campaign was conducted along sections of the Araz River in the Imishli and Saatli districts. The company plans to continue the initiative on a regular basis by expanding it to other regions along the river.
The primary objective of the campaign is to raise public awareness about environmental protection, the restoration and expansion of green spaces, and the preservation of natural resources. It also aims to encourage communities to adopt a more responsible attitude toward the environment while promoting effective waste reduction and sustainable waste management practices.
