A meeting was held with students benefiting from the “Student Scholarship” programme of Araz Supermarket Chain, part of the Veyseloglu Companies Group (VCG). The meeting was attended by students who achieved high scores and gained admission to the country’s prestigious higher education institutions.

The event was attended by Rashad Ibrahimov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Araz Supermarket Chain, members of the Board of Directors, and other senior company representatives.

During the meeting, Rashad Ibrahimov exchanged views with the students on their fields of study, future career plans, and aspirations, while sharing his experience and advice. Emphasising that supporting young people’s education makes a significant contribution to developing the professional workforce of the future, Rashad Ibrahimov congratulated the students on their achievements and wished them success in their future endeavours.

It should be noted that Araz Supermarket Chain provides a one-time award or a monthly scholarship to the children of its employees who study at undergraduate level at higher education institutions in Azerbaijan and abroad, depending on their university entrance examination results.

Currently, the company provides monthly scholarships to 100 students. The “Student Scholarship” programme is available to employees working across all structural divisions of Araz Supermarket Chain.

The “Student Scholarship” programme was established in 2010. To date, nearly 1,000 students have received support through the programme. Of these, 350 students have received regular monthly scholarships throughout their studies, while 650 have been awarded one-time grants under the programme.

Company employees are also eligible for relevant support under the programme when they gain admission to higher education institutions or continue their studies.

Although the “Student Scholarship” programme has specific eligibility criteria, special provisions apply to members of martyr families and children of war veterans. If they gain admission to a higher education institution, they are provided with monthly scholarships throughout their studies without being subject to any additional eligibility criteria.

The programme aims to support employees’ social well-being, contribute to the education of high-achieving young people, and encourage the development of a skilled workforce for the future.
